Contract for Database Design
Terms and Conditions
This agreement is between CJ Enterprises and ___________________ (the client). The total amount of design work is $__________.___. Client agrees to pay 50% of this amount up front and the remaining 50% upon completion of the project.
Completion of the project is defined as all areas of the database completed using any materials and or specifications given to CJEnterprises at the start of the project. Every database created will be supplied first as a beta version to allow you to verify that all functionality is in place and then as a final product once any open issues have been resolved. Each database is individually tested by us while in the design, beta and final stages of development.
All database designs will be created in FileMaker Pro unless otherwise specifically requested by CLIENT.
Changes to an active design project to accommodate variations from the original specifications, a different screen resolution, a different default font size or a different color scheme (i.e. 256 colors only) can be done upon the request of CLIENT at the rates specified in the Cost Estimates section web page.
Additional material or changes provided to CJEnterprises by CLIENT during the database construction may be considered as an increase in the original bid which amount shall be agreed upon by both parties and amended to this agreement before work will begin to include additional material into the existing project.
If the amount of additional work exceeds the total of the original bid then 50% of this additional work must be paid up front before work commences on these additions with the remaining 50% paid upon completion of the project.
Additional work to CLIENT's database may include work outside of the scope of simple database design which is billed at the rates specified in the Cost Estimates area. Simple database design, graphic authoring and technical writing is billed at a rate of $85.00 per hour.
The completion of this database is projected to be no more than ____________ from the time of commencement of work on said database, contingent upon receipt of all materials required to complete the site.
